Nobody Wants to go to Court

We have made this world a strange place
We treat justice like an idol
What we should be in relationship with we worship

There is only one way we know how to do that

We make it expensive and exclusive

Losing in some can cost you more years than you have to live

The place where facts matter

Most people born will never see snow or justice

Nobody Wants to go to Court

The shining city upon a hill has a shiniest bit

Justice calls the dawn's light to the long night

Ringing out hammer on wood

The finality we don't want to hear

Some judgements break the sound barrier

Most of the testimony whispered in back rooms

We make a show of justice and clamor for truth

When we weave wisdom's song

Play your part and the world is better

Ring through the valley

Nobody Wants to go to Court

The prison industrial valley of darkness

Too clean is the smell

In the shadows so dirty

Being innocent is rarely what people prove

Your supposed to make a deal

Ninety seven percent of the time they don't have to do their job

You can sit for years in those three percent innocent in my town

When they do their jobs it is always a mess

Being innocent and poor is a bad combination

Nobody Wants to go to Court

Justice is the art of nations

We know what it feels like

Can sever a people from a dead History

We have a feel for many things

Most people can drive

What would this world be if this was not true

If we had a better feel for justice than the road

We would stay home happy I would guess

Nobody Wants to go to Court

Justice rains

Hope is sweet

Sugar

Tastes like everyday

Made better in most ways

Ambrosia

The more we do what we must

The more we get to do what we want

Nectar is the name
