Peace Corps

 Update:

Funny Story, two year process to go to the Peace Corps  Offered Indonesia, Africa and Thailand.  Spent two years working the process,

So 30 days from departure they find disorderly conduct on record from thirty plus years.  I will be honest, I have done a thousand background checks and I have never read one or was ever questioned about it.

So they say I did not disclose so I am banned from applying for a year.  Meanwhile my spam folder is full of recruitment emails to apply in January, never mind I am banned for a year.

Going through this process I am confident that fifty percent of Peace Corps volunteers feel they made a mistake in going.  I have heard stories of sexual assault and was glad I wasn't a women going.

So after two years they recommend I wait a year and then go back through the two year process.  I love service but I am not a moron.

Rather open my eyes to what I can accomplish in two years.  Peace Corps sure did miss out, but they don't care.  I asked to serve where I was needed and they clearly don't need me.  Their whole thing is being in a frying pan to get into a fire.  Well frying pan was enough for me, plus my teeth are now all cleared for service if I am not xD

the Peace Corps may revoke your invitation - DIDN'T HAVE TO JUST WANTED TO - THEY SAY NO APPEAL, BUT GIVE NO REASON FOR NO APPEAL

Say No Cleveland

For students whose families’ annual income is $75,000 or less, the scholarship will cover the full difference between the total cost of tuition and standard fees minus the total amount of federal and state grants received by the student I met this incredible woman who had some terrible ideas.  She loaned me this book.  The wonder of her made me want to give her ideas a chance.  I read that book almost all of it.  Was mostly the history of rock n roll.  The author thought it was incredible how many rock stars had families who worked in military intelligence. I've actually had some experience marrying into an intelligence family in another country.  The scale of the country smaller than ours as most are.  A perfect model of an earlier time here.  In the summer of love there were only 200 million Americans.  We were also at war.   I left Serbia March 22.  NATO started bombing March 24.  I was in Sarajevo for a job interview....
